Hey there!
I've been working on a Squidoo lens for our beloved CoCo dolls. However, I am missing some information, such as images of all the models. I remember there existed a small section in the Sekiguchi official website with a picture featuring all the models. However, I can't find it anymore. And the Heylittlegirl.com website that contained the Dollopedia with information about CoCo is no longer available. Google searches are not helping either.
If you happen to have this official image, and any others, it'd be great if you could send them to me.
Also, I would like to gather as much information about CoCo as possible! Do you have any tips, tricks and advice for CoCo owners? Do you know which clothes, shoes and other accesories fit CoCo's body, and comparison images of CoCo in original and Licca bodies, or anything else that can be of help to others? If so, then please leave me a message. I want to make a lens that not only helps CoCo fans, but also raises the interest for the doll. Maybe we can make Sekiguchi realize that there are many CoCo fans out there. (The doll has been discontinued, and it is likely that they won't release any new models, ever; because the doll didn't sell well...) If somehow we can manage to contact the company and convince them of continuing the dolls, I'll be very, very happy!
Remember! Any relevant information about CoCo is welcome! This will be like the doll's official fan page. :)
My Blanche arrived on January 12th, 2008! I opened as soon as I got home.
She's really pretty, but her hair is too delicate, so I have to be careful. Most of the doll clothes I have do not fit her body. Her type 3 body is too small and skinny. But I won't change it as long as it's in good conditions.
I still don't have a name for her. Some choices are Eden, Nymph, Ninfa (which means Nymph in English, if I am right)... and dunno...
She is wearing a Licca friend stock school uniform in this picture.
Yesterday, I read about a common problem with the Blanche Pullip doll. Apparently, their wrists break VERY easily. It seems to happen very often... I didn't know, so now I am worried mine will come with the same problem.
And today, I decided to look at Magma Heritage's eBay feedback, and the FIRST negative feedback I see... is about this precise issue.
| My doll arrived with a very broken wrist, in below average packaging. :( | ambxtch ( 33 | Oct-09-07 10:35 | ||
| ||||
| Nude Blanche Pullip doll minty mint with doll stand (#230174519080) | ||||
And as I have read as well, the seller avoids any problems by saying the buyer is lying. This makes me very angry. What if mine comes with her broken wrist as well? I am definitely not going to accept it.
Oh, but there's more!
Here's a neutral feedback left by a buyer:
| came without her box | caronte_boat ( 2 ) | Oct-18-07 14:23 | ||
| ||||
| Nude Blanche Pullip doll minty mint with doll stand (#230175952896) | ||||
I say that this seller's rudeness knows no boundaries. To call a customer 'stupid'. Even if the customer is a little wrong to think that a nude doll has to come with her box, he has no rights to call him or her stupid, less for something like this.
This seller doesn't seem to understand this fact: no customers equals no business, and no money.
Instead of keeping his mouth shut or responding like a professional, he decides to call by names such as liar, stupid, and who knows what else. How old is this seller, anyway?
It is also a fact that this is probably the LAST time I buy from Magma Heritage, even if my doll comes safe and sound. I am not going to please an immature seller who tries to avoid problems with ridiculous accusations and disrespectful responses to their customers.
And now, let's hope my Blanche comes soon, and in good condition.

I know, it's sad! But this Christmas, I spent a lot of money on... things that are not priority. Dolls, games... Things like that.
I have a laptop debt and a few other things I gotta pay for every month. I charged several items to my Visa card, too.
I have to stop.
So I have kind of sworn that, until I have cleared all the debts, I will not buy any more dolls. I need to control myself, or else... I'll turn into an addict!
Sorry, dollies! I really wanted a Filato Taeyang and a few others. But this is too much. I know mom is angry and my brother won't stop criticizing. I know I should not care for what others say, but they are kind of right. I love photographing dolls and collecting them, but this is not priority, and there is a limit.
I won't buy anything else for about three or four months. That is, until my birthday. Or until the laptop debt is paid completely. But I will continue updating with photos and news of my dollies, so don't worry! I am not going to disappear. Less now that my first Pullip is coming, and that I got new stuff for my Cocos!
Today I bought FOUR imitations of dolls. One of a Petite Blythe (which I regret, as she is very ugly and low budget, especially the outfit), two of Licca, and one of... well, I think it's not really an imitation. It was a total of $10.17, but still. They were not necessary. I think I am going to sell back one of the Licca clones, which I bought to give for free or sell to anyone who's interested, and the Petite Blythe one, which I bought for the mini house.
Check my latest Flickr photos to see what Licca clones I am talking about. See the blond one. I have another of those, still in her box. Let me know if you want her. I can sell or trade for some cheap doll clothes. Depends, because I would have to calculating shipping costs. The doll is nice, though definitely cheap. Her shoes are, well... not the best.
Hello, everyone!
Wow, it's been a while! But Lilith and Chichi have been doing well. They wanted to wish you a merry Christmas! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures. But hopefully soon. ^_^
Look, I know I rarely come around, and that I don't visit your journals. But deep from my heart, I appreciate all of you who come over here and leave me those nice comments. Lilith also appreciated that you cared for her when the body transplant issue left us very depressed. Chichi has been a good sister, though! And now we are all feeling better. I am getting used to seeing Lilith in the Licca body, and all I need now is to get her a new wardrobe, when I have some money. Because... I got some more news.
I got a NEW camera! It's a Canon Powershot, like the first I had! I am so pleased... Now I can take good pictures again!
Not only that, but I also have a wonderful Christmas present from my mother, who is now getting used to the idea of me collecting dolls. I know she still worries about my little "obsession" and and about how expensive this hobby is. Especially when she finds me browsing eBay and reading picture fiction, such as the super wonderful Pullip soap, MIB!
Well, about the gift... It's a PULLIP! My first pullip! A nude Blanche from Magma Heritage is on the way home right now. She's coming from Singapure and has already been shipped, but I'll still be patient. I remember being impatient with my Cocos. That almost drove me crazy!
Some pictures are being uploaded to my Flickr, so if you want to see, go to http://flickr.com/photos/arwym
I'll try to stop by each of your journals to greet you, one by one. Thanks for reading, and happy holidays!
I would have just used Pixelpost, but meh, it seems like too much for the use I would have given to it. So there, I created an account at Aminus3. I started a small photoblog.
I am going to get a Canon Powershot again, because I can’t stand using anything else. After my experience with Canon, everything else seems like crap to me. Even that Sony Cyber-Shot I got recently. No way it surpasses the quality of my first digital camera.
Photoblogs are fun, so why not give them a try? Aminus3 appears to be good. It’s very easy to use, and there’s a community. That is great if I want some feedback, or at least a public. Flickr is great, but no one ever comments on my photos. I know they are bad. That’s probably it. I hope to improve, though. But how am I going to feel motivated to take photos when I have such a bad luck with cameras?
My photoblog’s address is http://arwym.aminus3.com. Not much to see right now, but when there is, I hope to see you there!
I am trying to get used to the idea of having Lilith in this alien body. I don't want to feel like I destroyed my most precious doll. She was that special, you know. And I cried for like 30 minutes non-stop. I am hoping to find a possible solution...
If you know of anything that would help, let me know.
Thank you.
I can't believe I did this... I killed Lilith.
She won't stand up, her new body is frail, too small for her, and she looks weird. And I can't restore her to the old one, because it's broken. I want to cry. I know she's a doll, but she was my favorite doll. I can't stand this.
Okay, guys! I thought I'd never do this, but I have decided that my Coco dollies will get a body transplant.
This decision has to do with how much trouble I have finding clothes and shoes that are pretty and fit in their bodies. Yet, everybody sells beautiful dresses and shoes for Licca / Blythe body sizes. Plus, I think that giving the girls smaller and more childish bodies will make them look even cuter. So it's decided.
I hope I don't regret this decision...
(Imported from LiveJournal)
I keep forgetting about this place. I know I promise to update with info about my Coco dollies and other related things, and I never do. So I feel bad.
It's just that I am thinking about opening a general blog for everything. Maybe cross-post with this journal from time to time to update on my dolls. I want to keep things simple. I have so many accounts scattered around the web and I forget to check them out. So I am thinking... I am going to fuse them all into three blogs or so. I'll keep most subjects in my main website's blog, then have a personal journal, and another for art. That's the idea.
I think I'd be keeping doll-related entries in the main blog, and if it is possible, import them to this account.
All I know is that I'll be cleaning this LJ account. I joined various communities not related to dolls. So I am going to take my unused LJ account, which is http://arwym.livejournal.com, and use it for personal entries and communities.
If you befriended me for something that has nothing to do with dolls, then could you please befriend me at the other account? I want to keep in touch.
As for my Coco dolls, they are doing great! I've been buying the girls some clothes and taking some pictures. I finally decided how to name the second Coco. From now on, she is referred to as Chichi! Lilith and Chichi are always together with Mie and the little Figumate girl whose name I don't know yet. I got some pictures at my Multiply account, here: http://arwym.multiply.com
I have to decide on what to do with that account, by the way. My Vox and Multiply accounts are nice, and I have some unique contacts in both of them. But I don't know what to do. Sometimes, when you move to your own website, the people who frequented your blog or journal before stop coming.
I hope I can settle things soon.
Before closing this entry, I want you to know that I finally got a job! Well, almost! I had the interview today and all I need is to sign a contract with them. It's just a part-time job at KFC, but it's also my first experience and I am excited. It was about time!
That means I'll be earning some money. I think I might get a Pullip in Christmas or in the beginning of 2008. I always wanted one. But I can only get one. It's a part-time job and I can't just go around wasting my money. I have to save for emergencies.
Well, good bye! Thanks for reading.
